Looks like I managed to post the last blog twice. Ah well, I am a bit dozy. I know that:roll:

This weekend was nice. I went on Eurostar for the first time. Very nice and very relaxed. We went to visit baby Lena who is very sweet and looks like her daddy when she cries. A very proper wee princess.

We managed to successfully navigate our way around the London tube, catch a bus to Oxford and also not miss any trains on the way back. Not bad eh? I would never have thought it. The last time I was in London was about 10 years ago. I still don't think much of the place and I hope that I don't have to go back for a loooooooooong time.

No yarn shops in Aynsham but I did managed to finish socks for Lieke to match her mum's. Roeliek was very pleased and now wants to learn to knit herself. I'll teach her in a week or so when I have time to breathe again.

The guys lost with the Rugby. I don't know how the girls done but I'm sure I'll find out today sometime. Hmmm that's about it for this post. Off to do something usefull now.

  • First Blog

Hi I'm Jules. I've been thinking about starting a web log for a while now but realised that I was never very good at keeping a diary when I was little so I'm probably going to be crap at this too.

I live and work in the Netherlands and have a cute wee flat which I share with my gorgeous boyfriend and my bunny. She's just a recent addition to the family. No kids however we do have a rather large collection of bears. Sorry I'll rephrase that. I have a rather large collection of bears.

One of my hobbies is making teddy bears. I don't do that on a very regular basis anymore but ususally only when my friends have babies. There is rather a lot of them expecting at the minute or have just had them so I'd better get busy again. Im busy with one at the minute for Lena. She was born in August and is getting a nice white bear. I still have to finish the bear but that has to be done by Thursday evening at the latest. I'll get there though.

Another hobby is rugby. This year I'm not playing as I have an ankle injury. I will be playing again towards the end of the season though. That's after the weightloss and fitness fairies have been and waved their magic wands over me. Fingers crossed

A few folk think that the combination of me playing rugby and making bears is wierd. Well I'll make it wierder. I knit too. I love knitting socks and things and I'm even a member of a couple of internet mailing lists. On the needles at the moment are wee socks for Lieke. Next is slightly bigger socks for Jan. In between finish the jumper for Berni and the jumper for me and and and. My stash gets bigger every weekend I think.

I've also just started a sort of knitting club at work. Some eegit called it a 'Knitting Circle' I just have such a heckel on that term. Anyway we've decided to rename it a 'Chicks with Sticks' We're still pretty small but its growing.

Actually I love anything to do with handarbeit as the germans call it. Everything crafty from quilting to making cards etc.

That's about it for the first blog. Hopefully the next one will be a bit more interesting. I've attached a photo of me in my best rugby pose. Please note that its a Köln shirt I have on. My own team AAC play in white with a blue strip. White for a rugby strip! Must have been a man that thought of that one
